**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job title: Customer Services Assistant**

**Overall Purpose**:

- To ensure the efficient and effective processing of sales orders, sales invoices, despatch, customer correspondence.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Processing customer orders using the company’s sales order processing software, whilst ensuring all customer, item, quantity, pricing and packing instructions are correct and customer requirements achieved.
- Allocation of stock & production job feeds to customer orders using the company’s sales order processing software.
- Advising customers of estimated despatch dates for their orders using the company’s sales order processing software to create an Order Acknowledgement.
- Invoicing customer orders using the company’s sales order processing software.
- Allocation of couriers or freight forwarders to despatch customer orders and the preparation of the necessary despatch paperwork.
- Preparation of export documentation where required.
- Document control.
- Dealing with sales order progress queries and correspondence both verbally and in writing.
- Answer general pricing and stock enquiries for existing customers.

Hours of work : Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:00, Fri 8:30 - 2:00 (37.5 hour week)

Holidays - Starting at 23 days plus 8 bank holidays and Christmas Eve
