Medway’s Education and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Division is committed to support all children and young people to learn and grow and to achieve their potential in education. The Education and SEND Division covers a wide scope of services, including school admissions, place planning, Medway Test, school transport, capital developments, high-needs funding and support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans, early years funding and sufficiency, school improvement and effectiveness, inclusion and attendance. As Post-16 Assistant, you will provide comprehensive business and administration support for the operation of the Post-16 team specifically, as well as the wider Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) team. This includes:

- To act as the first point of contact for The Post 16 Team requesting, collecting, monitoring, and disseminating key pieces of data to the relevant teams.
- To act as the main point of contact to engage local employers and support the development of Employer engagement.
- To support the planning processes of Post 16 events, managing contacts, disseminating information, and working collaboratively with the IAG Specialists to facilitate events.
- To produce all types of word processing work to defined standards of presentation, including minutes of meetings, reports, and general correspondence.
- Support the day-to-day administration functions of the wider department as necessary through maintaining information and data recording including the production of information and data. Including but not limited to:
- General admin, Scanning and uploading documents onto file.
- Creating information materials
- Finance of the department (invoicing, raising PO’s etc)
- To assist with the publications onto the internet
- To support the delivery of the IAG Service, attending venues and acting as a point of contact for young people
