**Job description**:
The role holder will support Service Management, by creating purchase orders aligned to contractual and financial management requirements. Responsible for Invoice processing, assisting with the procurement of new services, and reporting and communicating with the business.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;_
- Maintain a system for recording all purchase orders and invoices received, provide reports on change control status as requested.
- Ensure all IT supplier invoices are valid, reconcile with actual work delivered, query anomalies, seek explanation for discrepancies and direct invoices to business owners for payment authorisation.
- Analyse, interpret and manage financial spend from the variety of suppliers, to produce up to date spending patterns and forecasts for a variety of stakeholders.
- Undertake analysis to identify when supplier needs are not being considered nor being met; provide structured evidence of these problems to relevant stakeholders and using own specialist knowledge and judgement, present recommendations on how these issues can be rectified.
- Act as the point of contact with commercial, Finance and stakeholders to drive forward the provision of purchase orders and payment of invoices.

**Person specification**:
To succeed in this role, you have an understanding of commercial and procurement best practice and of how this can support and enhance the functions of the business.

You have experience in the use of a financial system, for example SAP and can create and understand formulas in Excel. You are experienced in analysing complex data sets and financial spend.

You have the ability to manage and filter workflow, organising your time effectively, as well as being able to prioritise workload to maximise productivity.

Excellent communication skills are pivotal to this role and having the ability to provide guidance to others is essential. Your excellent interpersonal and influencing skills will enable you to influence and challenge at all levels.

There will be development opportunities for you to enhance your skills within this role through training.

**Additional Information**

There will be an opportunity for occasional travel with this role, including overnight stays.
