We are looking for a health and safety advisor, too oversee tehr H&S side of BPLL. A key part of the team advising the hotel department and ensuring we are compliant in all areas.

**Responsibilities**:

- Organise with managers and conduct, health and safety inductions and training.
- Record, assess and investigate all accident and first aid reports.
- Work closely with Hotel Managers to ensure safe practise at all times.
- Make sure Fire Safety standards are met and maintained including all fire equipment.
- Carry out and record routine safety checks.
- Pro-actively work to improve standards and carry out Risk Assessments where required.
- Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Ensure that the group keeps up to date with changes in health & safety legislation.
- Co-ordinate reporting of RIDDOR incidents to the HSE and undertake investigations as appropriate into these or other safety-related incidents as required.
- Liaise with the group’s insurers/brokers to facilitate the investigation of any claims, ensuring that required records are made available and lessons are learned to reduce future risks.
- Maintain a comprehensive central library of health & safety resources, policies and documentation relating to all premises and services.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presenting findings
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for root cause analysis
- Attention to detail to identify potential hazards and risks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: £14.00 per hour
