About the Role

BDS (Northern) Limited is recruiting for a Health & Safety Consultant to work on a permanent basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our colleagues and customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support and improve colleague safety, providing assurance that the health and safety management system meets its legal requirements.
  • Deliver colleague safety training programmes and provide advisory services to colleagues.
  • Audit to a schedule to monitor and analyse the performance of the health and safety management system.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, making recommendations for improvement where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of current health and safety legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • NEBOSH Level 3 qualification.
  • Experience of internal auditing or auditing in a variety of health and safety fields.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and innovation in problem-solving, with an analytical mind and a capacity for logical and critical thinking.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary, estimated to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, with ongoing training and development opportunities.
