Austin Fraser is recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to support the Housing Association covering the South and East of England.
About the Role:This permanent position involves working as the Health & Safety Advisor for the South & East, ensuring colleague safety, providing assurance that the health and safety management system meets legal requirements, and implementing risk controls effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Owning the colleague health & safety experience for your area, providing advisory services, and liaising with management teams to ensure health & safety arrangements are in place.
- Collaborating with the Group Health & Safety Manager and internal audit colleagues to develop an audit system for controlling health & safety risks.
- Auditing all aspects of safety to guarantee effective controls and safe working environments.
- Assisting in accident investigations and making recommendations for improvement.
- Excellent knowledge of current health & safety legislative and regulatory requirements.
- NEBOSH Level 3 certification.
- Experience in internal auditing or auditing various health & safety fields.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- A valid UK driving license for business use.
A full-time permanent role within a small team, offering ongoing training and development opportunities.
Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a hybrid model.
We estimate this role to have a salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 based on industry standards and location.
