Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health & Safety and FRA Assistant to join our clients team. The Health and Safety Assistant will work closely with and report directly into the Head of Technical & Health Safety to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures across the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the development and implementation of Health & Safety and FRA policies and procedures.
- Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
- Conduct risk assessments of Safe Systems of Work.
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Technical & Health Safety, including maintaining records and documentation.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, recommend corrective action to prevent reoccurrence, and ensure compliance when dealing with accident investigations and RIDDOR reports.
- Work with the Head of Technical & Health and Safety to coordinate Health & Safety programs for employees (existing and new starters), and ongoing training sessions.
- Conduct regular inspections and internal audits of the workplace, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Meet set KPIs as delivered by the Head of Technical and Health and Safety.

**Experience**:

- H&S qualifications (NEBOSH) preferred.
- Previous experience in Health and Safety.
- HACCP qualification is desirable.
- Proficient at using MS Office toolkit.
- Certification in First Aid preferred.
- An accurate and methodical approach with attention to detail.

**Salary**: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
