**Procurement ManagerPosition Overview**
My client has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and due to this are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their growing team. The Procurement Manager reports to the Operations Manager and the function of the Procurement Manager isto identify suppliers, research goods and services, request samples, processes purchase orders, looking after all sourcing, verifying delivered terms, confirms acceptable delivery and is responsible for all sample and purchase order related queries.
To be successful for this role you should be able to critically assess suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate the best possible option to meet the business needs. This role also requires close co-operation with the Product Manager and Sales Teams,Production, New Product Development, Quality, Technical and Operations Teams, therefore the role requires a good communicator and team worker. The Procurement Manager need a keen sense of business and ability to maintain meticulous transaction records.
The tasks of a Procurement Manager are: -- Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
- Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
- Ensuring goods are OTIF.
- Analyse purchasing trends and make informed decisions.
- Requesting price and supply proposals from multiple suppliers to secure best value.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders and sample requests.
- Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders and receipts.
- Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
- Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
**Procurement ManagerPosition Requirements**
- Good Mathematics and English qualifications.
- Experience in business administration, procurement, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar position.
- Proficiency in CRM and inventory management software programs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisation and documentation skills.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
- Experience with Sanderson software systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred CIPS Qualified
**Procurement ManagerPosition Remuneration**
- £40,000- £45,000
- 4% employer pension contributions
