**IT Service Desk**

**Job Location**:Poole, Dorset

**Job Type**:Permanent

**Salary**:Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

**Hours**:Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm + free parking

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Service Desk Operative to work with a leading company who design, manufacture and supply on-trend decorative products to the B2B market.

Working within the IT team, you will be focussing on providing 1st and 2nd line Support across the business where you will be providing support and technical assistance to staff who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completingtasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers.

Key duties will include;
- Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.
- Diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
- Research questions using available information resources
- Support, maintain and monitor internal systems.
- Documenting resolutions for future reference.
- Redirect/escalate issues appropriately.
- Taking ownership of user issues/cases and keeping relative parties informed.

**For this role the successful applicant will possess;**
- Previous experience in IT Helpdesk / Support role
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Dependable, enthusiastic and personable.
- Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent communication skills, being able to deal with people at all levels within the organisation.
- Familiarity with both PC and Mac Hardware and Software
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Customer-oriented and cool-tempered
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent problem-solving skills

**Required Technical skills**:

- Windows Desktops
- Administering MS Exchange
- Basic networking knowledge
- Active directory
