Applications are invited for the above permanent full-time post working in College of Human Sciences and closely with the Marketing, Communications and Recruitment Department.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and competent clerical officer to join our College Support to help administer recruitment and admissions work with emphasis on conversion activity.

Purpose of the Job

To work closely with the Marketing and Recruitment Manager to provide appropriate grade level support in respect of recruitment and admissions of students with emphasis on conversion activity. The role holder will work closely with School Admissions Officers and liaise directly with applicants.

Main

**Responsibilities**:
Administer the admissions processing of a portfolio of programmes in close liaison with Academic Schools.

Monitor the responses of applicants to decisions and provide data to Schools/ academic staff on applicant status.

Proactively monitor applicant status in the Direct Application System and follow up on leads by phoning applicants.

Work across programmes and Schools in supporting College telephone campaigns.

Enter decisions and generate offers using the Direct Application System and other databases with the aim of 100% accuracy.

Support and attend Open/Offer Holder Days and other recruitment events and engage with academic staff and peer guides regarding arrangements.

Support the implementation of the College marketing plan.

Support the updating of marketing material, promotional literature and School/College websites.

Support social media, web online presence and conversion activities.

Monitor CMA compliance of websites and marketing material.

Gather data for market analysis.

Organise meetings, filing and document processing.

Work collaboratively with Senior Clerical Officer and other members of staff within Academic Schools.

**Responsibilities**:
The post holder will be expected to participate in performance review and developmental activities.

**Qualifications**:
Essential

Desirable

Entry-level qualification in marketing (e.g. Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing or Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing).

ECDL Qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

Experience of working within an office /administrative environment.

Desirable

Experience of working within a Higher Education environment.

Experience of working in a customer-facing target-driven sales or marketing environment.

Involvement in organising marketing events e.g. information days and fairs.

Skills/Abilities

Essential

Good communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work effectively in a team.

Accurate data entry and data analysis skills.

Ability to be proactive and innovative and be able identify and recommend changes for improvement where appropriate.

Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to write and edit marketing materials and communications.

Ability to produce marketing content such as videos, publications and podcasts.

The ability to speak and write Welsh fluently in a wide variety of situations is essential for this post.
