Marketing and Recruitment Clerical Officer

Applications are invited for a permanent full time Marketing and Recruitment Clerical Officer role working in the College of Science and Engineering. The appointee will be primarily based in one of the three academic Schools but will have the opportunity to work as part of the wider College Marketing and Recruitment Team in support of cross school recruitment activities.
Duties will include administration of the student recruitment and admissions processes for a portfolio of programmes, dealing with enquiries from prospective students and applicants; involvement in recruitment campaigns; assisting with and attending Open Day and recruitment events. Weekend work is occasionally required to support Open Days and recruitment events in a typical year this could mean 7 - 10 weekends per year.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.

Purpose of the Job
To work as part of a College team under the direction of the College Marketing & Recruitment Manager to provide appropriate grade level support in respect of recruitment and admissions of students, with an emphasis on conversion activity. The role holder will work closely with School Admissions Officers, the central Admissions department and liaise directly with applicants.

**Responsibilities**:- Monitor the responses of applicants to decisions and provide data to Schools/ academic staff on applicant status.- Proactively monitor applicant status in the Direct Application System and follow up on leads by contacting applicants.- Work across programmes and Schools in supporting bilingual College campaigns.- Enter decisions and generate offers using the Direct Application System and other databases with the aim of 100% accuracy.- Provide bilingual administrative support at Open Days and other recruitment events, including at weekends.- Support recruitment events, activities and literature preparation.- Provide clerical support for a range of administrative activities including minute-taking in both English and Welsh.- Support Social Media, Web Online presence and conversion activities.- Assist with data collection for market analysis.- Maintain filing systems.- Database information/maintenance.- Implement the College marketing communication plans for prospective undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, sending out information, invitations and reminders for Open Days and other events as necessary, and keeping a record of attendees.- Work across functional team boundaries as part of a larger College administrative team to ensure that core support services are maintained, particularly during holidays and absence and at peak times of activity.- Work with current students to help with the administration of open days.- Work with central marketing team and academic schools to support School liaison activities including organising school visit events and other outreach events.- Work with academic staff to organise cross College events such as graduation, employability fairs and welcome week.- Work with the College Marketing Manager, assisting academic colleagues to develop promotional materials such as case studies and press releases, which reflect the desired school/college marketing objectives and support the delivery of marketing initiatives within the College.- Provide support for events and activities for recruitment and widening participation events. This will include attending UCAS fairs and could, involve staying away from home with evening and weekend working.- Support the clearing process as part of the wider recruitment team.- Undertake other appropriate duties and responsibilities as may be required.Other
