Information and Learning Officer

As the Information and Learning officer you will play a key role in providing research for your colleagues, planning training, and establishing innovative ways of working.
The Information and Learning officer is a varied role that will allow you to plan and provide training to your colleagues, both in-person and online, to help them utilise the databases and library systems.
You will support stakeholders throughout the business with conducting company research and provide a comprehensive report of your findings.
When you are not researching companies or planning/delivering training, you will be supporting the team with cataloguing items, responding to user queries and receiving new stock.
This is an exciting time to join the Information and Learning team as the legal and information sectors are embracing new ways of working and adapting to technological changes. You will become the expert of new databases and systems and be the go to person to guide your colleagues.
**What you will be doing as the Information and Learning Officer**:
- Training - create and update training material, arrange external trainer support and deliver internal training to trainees and students within the firm
- Support - you will ensure new starters can access databases and provide guidance as required
- Research - you will conduct company research and create comprehensive notes to document your findings
- Administration - ensure circulation lists are up to date, keep stock lists up to date and log journals on the system
**What we are looking for**:
- Be a confident and articulate communicator, dealing effectively with a wide range of people at all levels
- Be prepared to suggest how tasks and/or relevant processes can be improved upon
- Present clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
- Have excellent online research skills and strong attention to detail
- Having an excellent working knowledge of main legal and commercial research databases
