Learner Engagement Officer

We are looking for 3 Learner Engagement Officers to join a well established government funded training provider. Due to a successful contract win the team is growing and they need people to drive learner referrals and play in a critical role in the overall success of their training programmes.

**Salary £30k OTE £36k**
**Location Leeds with some travel to meet learners so must have a driving license with access to a car.**

**Job Description**:
As a Learner Engagement officer you will be focused on the recruitment of learners onto funded courses in the local area. You will build new and existing relationships within the community, both with prospective learners and organisations such as job centres to promote these training courses and to ensure learner referral and enrolment targets are met.

Ultimately the goal is to improve the employability of learners and the overall success of the business is judged on how many learners go on to being employed. You will stay in touch with learners to make sure they are engaged and have access to any required support.

**Experience and skills**
- Experience in a similar role would be advantageous but applicants will be considered if they have a strong sales, recruitment or customer facing background.
- IAG Level 2 (desirable) or experience of providing careers or employability advice.
- Great communication and ability to build new and existing relationships.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Friendly, approachable and empathetic.
- Evidence of meeting and exceeding targets with a proven track record of excellent customer service.

**Responsibilities**
- Building relationships with key stakeholders, community organisations and networks.
- Promoting suitable programmes to learners and learner referral sources.
- Providing information, advice and guidance to learners and stakeholders.
- Maintaining the learner referral details for each of the programmes and effectively communicating with the relevant tutors to share and collate the information.
- Responding to referral enquiries and providing support to meet their requirements.
- Attending careers and employability events when required to promote funded training programmes to potential learners.
