**About the role**
This role will be to lead a multi-disciplinary ‘squad' to support the HLA deliver on our strategic programme Engine 2 (click for Engine 2 Ukraine example). You will bring together, line and task manage different roles across the HLA and will be responsible for enabling implementation of the identified key strategic projects under the Disaster's Emergency Committee's (DEC) funded Engine 2 portfolio.
The purpose of this role is to provide direction, oversight and project management to a multi-disciplinary team consisting of specialists in key technical areas: learning (including digital), research and MEAL, communications, as well as other contributors from across Save the Children movement, to deliver highly impactful consortium-led programming.
You will also focus on uplifting strategic projects such as our eco-systemic leadership programme, so that we are driving forward our goals of shifting the power for sustained impact and systemic change.
The project team lead will work closely with colleagues in Save the Children International (SCI); SC Ukraine and SC Poland in particular (but also SCI teams in Türkiye and Syria), SCUK, HLA and other relevant supporting services teams like Finance, HR, Procurement etc. to ensure effective ways of working, systems and processes are established both in the short term and longer term between SCUK, SCI as well as local and international partners.
***In this role, you will be responsible for**:
**Strategic Projects**:
- Working closely with HLA's Deputy Director for Programme's and Learning and drive forward the project management of the HLA's Eco-Leadership programming offer.
- Working closely with HLA's Deputy Director for Transformational Response (Engine 2) to support development of the direct funding initiatives within HLA and through DEC collective initiatives.
**Programme Management**:
- Implement a consistent project and programme management approach with strategies to support cross-functional ways of working across the Engine 2 projects directly managing PMU Officer and Programme Advisor
- Set up system for tracking and reporting against the plans and effectively problem solve deviations from the plan
- Retain financial oversight of the Engine 2 portfolio and monitor, maintain and, improve operational and financial processes and procedures
- Lead on harmonised program implementation and coordination across partners against the strategic vision of the consortium and in line with planned timescales
- Provide oversight of the knowledge management and communication systems and tools to maintain up to date project documentation and effective ways of working within the Engine 2 consortium
- Work with HLA's Awards and Finance Manager to consolidate and review finance reports
- In coordination with the HLA's Operations team, lead on the contractual arrangements with implementing partners and contractors
- Provide management to the Programme Management Unit (PMU) team (PMU Officer, Programme Advisor, Communications Officer and Research & Evaluation Specialist) in delivering the Engine 2 workplan
**Partnerships and Stakeholders Management**
- Lead on organisation of the periodic meetings with Engine 2 partners and other programme staff to discuss and track program progress against plan, record and follow up on action points
- Coordinate with partners to lead on donor narrative reporting including consolidation of reporting, and submission of high-quality reports to the DEC
**People Management**
- Line/task manage a highly motivated team, providing regular direction to direct reports as well as HR, Finance and Wellbeing support. Fostering an ethos of creativity, collaboration, agility, engagement, and positivity.
- In collaboration with Deputy Directors set the direction and work for the programme management unit.

You will have significant first-class project and programme management skills with a proven track record delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects to meet and exceed donor or client expectations. You will have significant e
