The Pharmacy Department at Lancashire Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust is delighted to be able to offer a vacancy for a Pharmacy Clerical Officer - Homecare and High Cost Drugs due to the expansion of the current team and significant growth of homecare services providing a great opportunity to learn about homecare medicines services and commissioning of specialist drugs in a wide range of therapy areas.

So what will you be working on from a day to day basis?
- Planning, prioritising and organising the homecare administrative workload within pharmacy.
- Supporting the senior homecare clerical officer and other pharmacy staff with respect to homecare medicines services.
- Supporting monitoring of invoicing of external homecare services for the supply of medicines to patients within the home environment

**Duties to include, but not limited to**:
Maintain accurate and up to date database of all homecare patients, prescriptions and invoices.
- Work with the clinicians and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure prescriptions are received and processed in a timely manner.
- Process prescriptions; calculate quantities required to raise purchase orders.
- Processing invoices ensuring that the correct price for drugs is paid and that invoices are filed appropriately
- Train and support staff on homecare medicines management.
- Respond to enquiries from staff, patients and external suppliers referring to the appropriate people as identified when necessary.
You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft office computer systems, good organisational and time management skills and be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will be fully supported by the wider Pharmacy Team.
