An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Outpatients team in Ambulatory Care at The Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre based on the Queens Medical Centre campus, playing an important role in the recovery and continued improvement of the Trust's 18 week performance.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dedicated, patient focused and highly articulate person who is committed to providing the highest standards of care for our patients by accurately validating their pathways in line with the 18 week.

We are seeking a part time Validator (30 hours/week) to join us on a permanent basis. The post will work as part of our Outpatients administration team, focusing specifically on outpatient RTT validation amongst other performance reports for a set number of specialities including Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Hypertension.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As stated in Main Duties of the job

The post holder will use the Trust’s information systems to provide weekly and monthly comprehensive validation of the inpatient and outpatient waiting lists. The aim of this is to ensure data is accurate and that the Trust’s Patient Access Policy is correctly adhered to. The post holder must organise their own workload within defined guidelines and will be an integral part of the team in ensuring the Directorate achieves their 18 Week RTT performance targets.

- NVQ level 2 in administration or equivalent
- GCSE English and Maths C or above or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
- Ability to interpret and understand patient pathways
- Thorough understanding of performance targets and the 18 week pathway
- Demonstrate understanding of patient/client confidentiality

Desirable criteria
- Experience of undertaking validation

Communication and relationship skills

Essential criteria
- Communicate and negotiate effectively with colleagues at all levels and disciplines

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
