**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Ensure all employee new starter records are set up in ESR following transfer of the applicant record from NHS Jobs, where appropriate and all new starter information is checked to ensure employees are paid correctly. Verify and approve NHS service of new employees through the ESR Inter-Authority Transfer process to confirm starting salary, leave, sickness and contracts.
- Checking all changes made to ESR in respect of an employees pay are checked within the deadlines set and prior to payday, either to source documentation or electronic systems or reports as appropriate, to ensure correct payments are made to employees.
- Adhere to a multitude of varying and conflicting deadlines and be adaptable in unexpected circumstances such as system performance issues which considerably reduce input availability, resulting in a requirement to assess and prioritise achievable tasks.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- System knowledge of ESR. (Desirable)
