**Your responsibilities**
- As the HR & Payroll team leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the HR & Payroll team (consisting of 4 team members), providing a customer focused, efficient and effective administration service to the business.
- You will ensure that all operational activities relating to the employee lifecycle are accurately completed within agreed timescales and quality standards, including onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, employee master data management, and HR reporting.
- You will monitor the response handling of the HR shared inbox to ensure customer service is met and uphold high standards, identifying areas where improvements are needed.
- Act as the escalation contact for complex HR & Payroll queries, liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
- You will supervise, coach and develop the HR & Payroll team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively and deliver a high quality service to our internal and external customers.
- You will work closely with the Head of HR services and other HR colleagues to support the implementation of HR policies, procedures and projects, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the HR & Payroll function.
- You will participate in projects as a representative of the HR & Payroll team, offering your expert knowledge and skills to make sure the potential impact for our customers and team are well considered.
- You will maintain the integrity and quality of HR data by ensuring accurate entry of data into HR systems at all times. Adhere to audit and compliance activity as required and lead on quality checks, reporting on the results.

**Your profile**
- You have a CIPD or CIPP qualification or equivalent (level 5), or you are working towards one.
- You have experience in a HR & Payroll team leader role (or similar), with a proven track record of delivering excellent HR & Payroll services in a fast-paced environment.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, and you are able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
