Ideally you’ll be an experienced planner, with a background in a supply planning role in a retail/FMCG environment. Using self-serve analytical software, you’ll be confident in making recommendations for buying details and store allocations across our rangeof cards and gift wraps.

Your primary goal is to ensure we are maximising sales opportunities whilst minimising waste, supporting in the development of key strategies and reaching financial targets.

Key duties include:

- Deliver core KPI’s in respect of sales, stock intake phasing, margin, ROS, and waste
- Preparation and review of seasonal buying plans through thorough analysis of historical data and understanding of future trends/activities
- Reviewing and making recommendations for seasonal product condensing strategies based on sales trends
- Establishing allocation requirements for seasonal phasing and reviewing sell through to influence more targeted stock push
- Establishing initial stock intake plans and stock covers
- Forecasting anticipated sales uplifts by program to ensure forecast meets sales potential
- Making recommendations on store space allocations and space splits to deliver results for the retailer
- Maximising opportunities and minimising risks by monitoring live performance versus plan and taking remedial action when necessary
- Ongoing review of change, strategies and tactics and building upon them to improve future seasons and programs
- Sharing recommendations to retailer Merchant Planners and Buyers on a regular basis
- Maintaining comprehensive data records for immediate and future analysis

To do this, it’s likely you will have:

- Advanced Excel skills, and Alteryx software knowledge is desirable
- Good numerical and analytical ability
- The skills to analyse data to enable effective recommendations
- Strong commercial awareness and market intelligence
- The ability to manage multiple tasks whilst retaining high level of accuracy
- Amazing attention to detail, even when working to strict deadlines
