**Who are we looking for?**
This role will also have responsibility for guidance and support of the teams Merchant Analyst, therefore experience of working with data and managing a team is an advantage but not essential.
Key activities & responsibilities include:
- Working closely with the Strategic Account Management (SAM) Director to develop and implement key strategic initiatives using consumer, category, sales and shopper insights.
- Develop a good relationship with the customer and conduct direct and frequent interaction at multiple levels and functions.
- Develop & deliver the annual retail activity plan for the customer supported by Product Development.
- Commercial management & financial planning; driving revenues, enhancing profitability, annual planning & monthly forecasting, delivers against JBP & KPIs.
- Leadership of Merchant Analyst & internal stakeholders to monitor sales, create inventory buys together with the customer that drive sales & reduce yield.
- Project management - identifying business issues and sales opportunities in an ever-changing retail landscape, recommend & deliver action plans.
- Develop & communicate visual merchandising, retail experience initiatives & merchandising briefs.
- Develop & order supporting marketing & point of sale materials for the customer, liaising with external partners.
- Clear and deep understanding of the customer goals, values and objectives and be responsible for cascading the vision throughout our business and ensure alignment.
- Develop & influence a high performing team, who are motivated, engaged, with clear and actionable development plans. Cultivate future leaders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and financial planning skills are essential as well as the ability to develop new ideas and build and maintain constructive business relationships.
As this role will involve some travelling to stores and customers head office you should hold a full driving licence.
Head office is based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.There is a requirement to be in the office 1-2 days per week.
