Peabody have an exciting new opportunity for an **Area Manager - Specialist Housing** to join the team providing specialist housing management services to people living in care and supported housing properties. In return you will receive a competitive salary of **£46,000 per annum**.**
**About the Area Manager - Specialist Housing** **role**:
As an Area Manager - Specialist Housing London you and your team will be supporting people to live happily in the place they call home.
**What we're looking for in our Area Manager - Specialist Housing**:
- A commitment to providing the highest standards of customer service/care
- Experience of leading a team of staff across a wide range of services with a variety of different skill sets
- Experience of setting team and individual targets, monitoring performance against these and taking effective remedial action when targets are not met
- Sound working knowledge of Housing and related legislation and good practice, as it relates to the management of rented, care & supported social housing
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals as well as maintain accurate records
- Experience of monitoring performance of external contractors and service providers, taking remedial action as required
- A positive disposition towards change, viewing it as an opportunity to improve services, performance and efficiency
**Some of the key results for the role include: **
- To lead, motivate, empower, and provide a responsive and effective housing management service
- Responsible for specific budgets and monitor expenditure and take appropriate action to prevent overspending
- To manage and support the voids and lettings process
- Provide support and advice to front line staff teams dealing with more complex housing management issues
- To investigate and respond to all complaints ensuring that timescales are met and lessons learned to improve services with a cost-effective resolution
- To ensure that KPI targets for team members are met with the aim of continual improved performance
