**Overview**:
This is an exciting time to join Buckinghamshire Council’s Adults and Health Directorate. As well as leading the council’s health inequalities programme, the directorate is leading on health and social care integration and preparing for the social care reforms and CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection of the council’s adult social care service.

**About the role**:
The post is based in the Business and Governance service. We are a small team that supports the Adults and Health Directorate. The post holder will need to show initiative in their work to deliver on corporate and directorate priorities, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with officers, managers and project leads at all levels within the service and across partner organisations where appropriate.

Key activities will include:

- Operating as the pivotal point for Adults & Health services, making sure services understand and are compliant in a wide range of areas including risk, audit, forward planning, service planning and equalities
- Supporting the Business Manager in preparing strategic forums, undertaking research & preparing briefings, supporting directorate communications and events and the directorate’s business continuity and resilience function.
- Working with project leads to provide skilled project support for key projects within the service area, the wider directorate including Public Health and with partner organisations as required

The role also requires:

- Maintaining key governance documentation including the information asset register, risk registers, team and service work plans and business continuity plans
- Submission of responses for corporate and partner governance requirements
- Undertaking research and horizon scanning, preparing briefings, and drafting consultation responses
- Project support
- Developing and implementing internal communications

- Supporting the directorate during emergencies as part of the service resilience function
- Support key meetings associated with the directorate such as the Health and Wellbeing Board, Transformation Board and Adults and Health Board.

Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
