Voo Vets is a family business that believes best pet healthcare is achieved by combining general, specialist and emergency care. There are 6 branch sites equipped with the best facilities across London and Surrey and a central 24-hour veterinary hospitallocated in Surbiton, Surrey.

An exciting role for a junior accountant to join our busy group of family owned, independent Veterinary practices based in Surrey and South London.

You will join our Management team assisting the senior management team.

**The exciting part.**

Salary will depend on previous experience.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Reconciliation of client direct debits, health care plans etc., identify and resolve payment issues working closely with Team Managers.
- Monitor unpaid sales invoices on a weekly basis, identify clients and take the necessary remedial action to recover monies.
- Produce and analyse weekly branch cash and credit card takings to include reconciling World Pay receipts, Direct Debits, Bank transfers, cash receipts etc.
- Multi-site supplier invoice processing for payment in accordance with agreed framework agreements and terms
- Bank and other key reconciliations
- Payroll - to populate a master spreadsheet from staff hours worked as supplied by practice managers, obtain management authorisation, and provide information to the payroll bureau. (Currently outsourced).
- Petty cash - reconciliations and cash reimbursement to branches, physical checks of cash floats when necessary
- Price analysis and supplier rebate verification - check that the business is benefitting from agreed supplier pricing, negotiated discounts and / or rebates and report to management on an agreed format and frequency
- Be involved in all aspects of the migration of the business’s day to day accounting from Sage to Xero, creating financial processes and controls working closely with the Book Keeper and Management.
- Periodic Management Accounts and annual statutory accounts for the business as the role develops, to include variance analysis and commentaries, reports to practice managers and senior management, preparation of trial balances, draft accounts and supportingdocumentation working closely with the Book Keeper.
- To provide cover as necessary for the Book Keeper.
- To undertake other tasks deemed reasonable for the role, or as part of role development

- A minimum of one year experience of working in Finance / Management Accounts departments
- Good understanding of double entry bookkeeping
