Job Objective:

To deliver professional and effective oversight of construction activities managed by EMCOR on the GSK site. To fully understand CDM regulations and implement proactive measures to ensure the safe execution of all site operations.

Responsibilities: Oversee project timelines and quality standards, ensuring that all work meets client and regulatory expectations. Facilitate project delivery through clear communication, ensuring team members are well-trained and competent in their roles related to service level agreements and performance metrics. Assess safety performance across all service aspects, identifying opportunities for enhancement. Manage the creation and submission of all necessary Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments for approval. Provide regular updates on project status to the EMCOR Management team and the client, maintaining ongoing communication and attending meetings as required.
Support the Project Manager by supplying information essential for financial account completion. Identify and implement operational enhancements to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality service. Attend meetings as necessary. Assist Project Managers with the issuance of work permits. Support other ad hoc tasks within the scope of skills, training, and experience as instructed. Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to ensure tasks are completed safely and on time. Supervise and/or manage specialist subcontractors as needed. Provide CDM management oversight. Ensure site control, including access, egress, and welfare provisions. As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, you will foster a culture of 'sustainability' (including health and safety/environmental awareness). Utilize available resources such as Junior PMs, SMEs, and PCs whenever possible. Engage and mentor junior PMs as opportunities arise.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role and support our growth, we seek a candidate with the following skills and attributes: Ability to establish, implement, and monitor high standards of quality, safety, and operational performance. This position requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications. Comprehensive knowledge of project management disciplines, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. Extensive experience in a construction project environment. Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Resilience under pressure and the ability to engage confidently with staff, suppliers, and clients at all levels. Self-motivated, a team player, and adaptable/flexible in approach.
