The RAC Regulatory Operations Control and Governance SME presents an excellent opportunity be part of a team helping to shape and improve the effectiveness of Governance in Santander London Branch (SLB).

You’ll be a part of the Chief Operating Officer team within the first Line of Defence (1LOD) Regulatory and Controls (RAC) function.

You’ll work closely with multiple stakeholders throughout the business and support functions. Ensuring controls across the regulatory landscape are executed and monitored to ensure SLB maintains compliance across key areas.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Co-ordinating and aligning of Global Standards across SLB.
- Tracking Internal Audit and Compliance Monitoring.
- Co-ordinating and oversight of Pan SLB Regulatory Reporting Framework.
- Assisting in the management and evolution of multiple RAC owned risk management frameworks.
- Managing RAC Governance tasks, and maintenance of a pan RAC Governance sharepoint and oversight of Executive forum reporting data
- Co-ordinating of a risk-based Governance communication approach for RAC across SLB.

**What you’ll bring.**
- Ability to identify and articulate complex issues to a diverse group of stakeholders, propose solutions and escalate appropriately.
- Knowledge of wholesale banking products and regulation and good understanding of the regulatory landscape especially thematic reviews and critical topics raised by the FCA and PRA

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Previous experience within Financial Services or at a regulator with knowledge of wholesale banking products and regulation
- Good inter-personal and communicative skills - able to interact confidently with senior management and front office staff
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to navigate and co-ordinate across multiple functions and teams.
- Prior experience of consolidating and presenting information for decision to a senior audience at formal governance committees.

**What else you need to know.**

This is a full-time permanent role based at Triton Square and you will be expected to spend a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
