Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Technical Apprenticeship Development Coach to join our team on the Mercedes-Benz retailer apprenticeship programme.

The Apprenticeship Programme is responsible for the development of hundreds of apprentices across the Mercedes-Benz Car, Van, and Truck retail networks in the UK.
- **Salary**: £30,000 to £32,000 depending on experience + company vehicle
- **Location**: South West England
- **Working Hours**: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
- **Annual Leave Entitlement**: 25 days + national holidays
- **Contract Period**: Full-time contract

**About the role**

The Technical Apprenticeship Development Coach is responsible for undertaking regular development and coaching visits, conducted in the apprentice’s place of work, and via online meetings. They will manage, and track progress against agreed targets, progression planning, learning evidence management (eg. the collection of job cards, e-Learning progress), timely achievement and the ongoing health, safety, and wellbeing of apprentices; ensuring that at all times visits follow a defined visit process, compliant with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.

Apprentices are undertaking a Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair apprenticeship at Level 3.

**About you**

You enjoy playing an active and supporting role in the development of apprentices. You take ownership of your work, and are motivated by the prospect of helping others succeed. You have an organised approach, and excellent communication skills.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Automotive technical workshop experience, at level 3 or equivalent
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with ability to Influence, challenge, negotiate and to manage conflict and difficult situations
- Understand Management Information Systems to be able to demonstrate and monitor progression towards achievement targets
- MS office skills, and able to use technology such as laptops and tablets
- Knowledge and experience in learner safeguarding and wellbeing
- Experience in being responsible for own workload, diary management and working independently to tight schedules
- Maths and English qualification Level 2 (equ.)
- Full UK Driving Licence

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a similar role as a Regional Coach, or Apprentice Assessor
- Automotive technical electric and hybrid vehicle qualification and practical experience
- Working knowledge/experience of Apprenticeship programmes and the requirements and related inspection framework
- Assessment, training or teaching qualification or a willingness to undertake a qualification (Teaching, training & assessing learning L3)
- Experience of ESFA compliance and process

**Place of Work**

We are currently seeking to recruit someone who will cover the South West of England, including Cornwall, Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire, visiting retailers across the region.

Occasional visits to manufacturer training centres will be necessary, predominantly in Milton Keynes.
