Community Mental Health Support Worker

Buxton, United Kingdom Pro Locums 24 Full time

Pro Locums 24 is currently recruiting motivated and enthusiastic support workers, on behalf of our clients based in and around the Buxton area, positions are on a temporary to permanent contract.
- You will need 1 years experience specifically within the mental health field, however life experience will be considered too.
- Your own car is essential
- Immediate start
- £11.60 + 45p per mile
- Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
- 37.5 hours per week
- No personal Care

Based in Buxton and covering High Peak, this is a community based role and therefore your own car is essential.

Duties can vary depending on the setting but can include;:

- assisting and planning support requirements,
- monitoring people's mental health,
- helping to promote and maintain an environment and lifestyle conducive to meeting the needs of the residents
- providing emotional support
- supporting in everyday activities and helping with domestic duties.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 12 months ideally 2 years recent work experience as a support worker
- Your own car
- Current DBS on the online update service (this will speed up the process)
- Up to date mandatory training certificates (this will speed up the process)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Pay: £11.60 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
