DCHS has a fabulous opportunity for a Clinical Support Worker to be an active member of a joint team (DCHS and DCC) supporting vulnerable elderly people with mental health and physical needs.

Working as the lead for clinical activities under the supervision of a qualified professional, the successful post holder will:
Be involved with service developments.

Treat all individuals with respect and courtesy, maintaining dignity and respecting individual needs and differences.

Liaise with other professionals in providing supportive care.

Build a professional rapport with patients and their families, respecting their views, autonomy and culture.

Communicate effectively with other professionals concerned with patient's care.

Undertake nursing tasks under the direction of qualified nurse. This will include medication administration, continence care, recording/monitoring clinical observations, basic wound care, blood sugar monitoring for example.

Assist with supervising of other staff undertaking development in clinical activities.

To have an understanding of policies and procedures and regulations from both DCHS and DCC.

Ensure confidentiality is maintained.

Review and reflect on your own practice through regular participation of supervision and appraisal.

Undertake mandatory training and any other relevant training to develop the role.

Be willing to support the Jubilee Centre in New Mills when and if staffing cover requires.
