Job Opportunity

Derbyshire County Council is seeking to appoint a skilled Residential Children's Worker to join our team in providing care and support to young people in a small children's home.


About the Role

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a small staff team to provide a person-centred service to children and young people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic care and safety needs for children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Work closely with partner services to support children and their families.
  • Embed therapeutic ethos in the home to promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, working closely with the management team.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma and Social Care Pathway (England) 2015, or an equivalent qualification. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
