About the role*
This role reports to the Learning and Development Manager and requires the post holder to have a clear understanding of the administration provision required to support a busy L&D department. The L&D function is responsible for delivering a comprehensive training service to the business and as such the post holder will proactively provide administration support to the L&D manager by taking a hands-on approach. The L&D Administration Assistant will fully support the company vision, be forward thinking, innovative and work in a positive manner.

Key Responsibilities*
- To provide administrative support for learning and development activities
- To maintain relevant management information using spreadsheets, logs and databases including the organisation’s Learning Management System as required
- Contributing to the creation and design of our SOP’s and skills training documentation
- Sourcing and facilitating external training courses to include working with external practical demonstrators and technical trainers
- Uploading of certificates and track when training is due
- Track training events and ensure refresher courses are booked in, in a timely fashion
- Help to develop and deliver bespoke internal training sessions to various parts of the business
- Ensuring course objectives and content of the training is commercially relevant by acting as a conduit between suppliers, the Commercial team and the Learning and Development Manager
- Supporting the development of internal learning through design and production of training materials
- Reviewing and updating training checklists for staff across the business
- Support the apprentices who are undertaking a qualification and act as the conduit between Portmeirion and the training provider
- Monitor enrolment and attendance to training sessions
- Regularly meet with new staff to ascertain feedback from their induction and training
- Supporting Ad-hoc projects with the L&D Manager as and when required.
