Responsible for the organization of a team of skill enhanced craftsmen, and the quality of the site maintenance.
Commitment to the relevant aspects of Health and safety is essential.
A working knowledge of the various engineering disciplines is required, ideally some electrical and control.

**Key Responsibilities

**Projects

- Identify potential engineering and system projects, upgrades to improve and safeguard operational performance
- Support the CAPEX assessment process and prioritisation activity within the DC network.

**Health & Safety

- Drive the department's adherence to safe working practice throughout day-to-day engineering management activities in areas of high specialisation.
- Create and develop SOP’s and procedures and help to identify gaps.
- Champion health and safety to others and promote a safety-first culture.

**Key Skills & Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years experience leading large multi-disciplined Engineering/maintenance teams FMCG environment, ideally with further engineering qualifications and hands-on experience.
- HNC/HND within an Engineering discipline.
- Proved experience in implementing and delivering business strategy relating to PPM and asset care.
- Confident leader, Strong decision-making capability, able to influence and engage senior leadership.
- Assertive decision-maker and influencer, with prior exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, TPM Methodology or Manufacturing excellence.
- Demonstrable record of achievement and managing change within an Engineering leadership role.
- Self-motivated and results-driven individual, who has experience in facilitating change.
- Proficient working knowledge of all MS platforms
- Experienced in both mechanical and electrical maintenance and have a working knowledge of SCADA and PLC-based control systems. (Siemens)
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS systems
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build strong alliances and influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the key processes within the warehouse and of safe working practices (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)
- Proficient knowledge of computerised procurement systems
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, able to adapt approach to fit the audience.
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and work under pressure.
