NEC ECC Supervisor

We are looking for a skilled NEC ECC Supervisor to be part of our Major Projects Team within the Capital Delivery Service.

This position requires close collaboration with the NEC Project Manager and Client Project Manager to cultivate a cooperative atmosphere that guarantees projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to the Contract.


About the Role:


Our clients have recently secured funding through various government initiatives aimed at enhancing travel infrastructure.


Potential projects may include:

  • The Heatons Link Phase 2: Involves 2km of path enhancements as part of a larger cycling route.
  • The Ladybrook Valley Project: Completes a 1.1km gap in an existing route.
  • Stockport East: Integrates several projects to develop a new walking and cycling corridor.

Additional Projects:
  • Hempshaw Lane Scheme: Improves bus user experience with enhanced accessibility and pedestrian facilities.
  • Bredbury Parkway Improvements: Upgrades active travel infrastructure to enhance local connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:
The main duty of this role is to perform the responsibilities of the NEC ECC Supervisor in line with the NEC Engineering & Construction Contract.

Additional duties include:
  • Ensure compliance of all construction activities with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team.
  • Promote a collaborative environment and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety risks.
  • Participate in site meetings, providing updates on activities and progress.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, including daily logs and inspection reports.
  • Prepare and submit periodic progress reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all contractual terms and conditions during site activities.
  • Assist in managing change orders and other contractual matters.
  • Supervise on-site contractors and verify valuations for completed work.

Qualifications:
  • Experience with local authority projects and transportation infrastructure, including walking and cycling initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with construction values ranging from £100k to £5m.
  • Relevant NEC contract and/or professional qualifications are beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of project and financial management, capable of contributing to budgets and cost controls.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Valid driving license and business insurance are required.
  • Appropriate level of CSCS Card or NEBOSH certification is necessary.
