Corporate Governance Officer (Maternity Cover)

An opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic administrator to join our Corporate Governance Team. Ideally suited to a confident, capable individual who can effectively support the Trust Board and governance processes.

The role will primarily support the organisation of Board and Committee meetings for one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the country. You will need to confident in managing your own workload independently, be highly organised, with good attention to detail, and with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

To be considered for this role you should have experience of working in a busy office environment, and have enhanced administrative skills including advance minute taking, as well as ideally experience of dealing with senior managers and external stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate that have experience of working autonomously and showing initiative in decision-making, and understand how to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally.

The role will be based at our Trust Headquarters with the option to work from home for a proportion of the time.

This is an important role, interfacing with board members, senior managers, governors and clinicians on a regular basis. This would provide an excellent development opportunity to work across the organisation. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic individual who is well organised and keen to develop the role.

Job Purpose
- The Corporate Governance Officer will work with the Corporate Governance Manager and the Head of Corporate Governance in the delivery of a comprehensive corporate governance service to the Trust Board at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
- To lead in the provision of a professional, confidential and high quality administrative and logístical support service to the Trust’s Board Meetings and Board Committee Meetings, to include agenda production and management, timely production of papers, advanced minute-taking and follow-up of actions as required from the meetings.
