**Procurement Specialist**
**Location - Hybrid Flexible (Selby/Northampton/London/Ipswich)**
**Salary range: Up to £55k depending on experience**
**Permanent**

If so, the Procurement Specialist role provides an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic new team here at Drax where you will support the important role Procurement has to play as Drax executes its strategy to be a carbon negative company by 2030.
**About the role**
As an experienced procurement professional, you will thrive in a busy commercial environment. You'll build meaningful and strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence at every stage of the process.
Reporting directly to the Procurement Lead for several areas within the Indirect space, you’ll be part of the successful delivery of the overall procurement team goals focussing on Professional Services. Day-to-day you'll be responsible for all aspects of the Source to Contract cycle across our Professional Services suppliers while considering risk and cost, up to a value of c.£3M annually, per procurement/project. You’ll play a key role in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to maximise value whilst ensuring the right level of governance is applied. You’ll also provide day to day procurement guidance and advice to other team members.
Building new relationships and working with a wide range of internal customers will be the key to success in this role. You’ll work closely with the wider procurement team, to ensure continuous improvement and best practice is d throughout the team to optimise performance.
**About you**
This role will support our professional services contracts; therefore, you’ll have strong technical procurement skills linked with an ability to drive best practice whilst operating in this space. You’ll also demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, and the ability to implement opportunities for innovation. You’ll be comfortable in proactively challenging stakeholders and demand, while providing a prompt, efficient and personalised service to internal customers at all levels. This is imperative, to ensure that customer needs are met, and productive relationships are built and maintained. You should also be effective in ensuring departmental policies and processes are communicated and followed.
It is key that you are a self-starter with a ‘can do/will do’ attitude who has the energy, drive and commitment to make things happen and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies to form alignment. The ability to identify key opportunities for Procurement support and prioritise workload effectively is essential.
If you have CIPS/Project Management qualification that's great, however if you have demonstrable experience and strong performance in a similar role, we'd love to hear from you
