Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing/Engineering

Job Summary:

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of technical goods and services, ensuring that all suppliers and subcontractors deliver in alignment with our company's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the procurement office to ensure all suppliers and subcontractors meet our company's requirements.
  • Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and continuity of supply.
  • Assist in building a supplier database to support the business.
  • Identify and source components based on quality and price.
  • Collect data and report supplier KPIs, manage non-conformance, and continually improve across the supply chain.
  • Work closely with the Technical Department to support ongoing projects on all aspects of procurement.
  • Understand price analysis and interrogate suppliers' prices to determine value for money.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite deliveries, ensuring promised shipment dates are met and disruptions to our production schedule are minimized.
  • Comply with the Management System requirements for Health and Safety, ensuring others work to company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and the Health and Safety Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with the management systems requirement for the Environment and Quality by working to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A proven background in buying electrical and mechanical components in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  • Professional Certifications / Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
  • Proficiency in IT systems, knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain professionalism, particularly during urgent and critical procurement situations.
  • Ability to provide quality information within deadlines.
