Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Hawk 3 Talent Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing of technical goods and services, ensuring all suppliers and subcontractors deliver in alignment with our company's requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and continuity of supply.
  2. Assist in building a supplier database to support the business.
  3. Identify and source components based on quality and price.
  4. Collect data and report supplier KPIs, manage non-conformance, and continually improve across the supply chain.
  5. Work closely with the Technical Department to support ongoing projects on all aspects of procurement.
  6. Understand price analysis and interrogate suppliers' prices to determine value for money.
  7. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to expedite deliveries, ensuring promised shipment dates are met and disruptions to our production schedule are minimized.
  8. Comply with Management System requirements for Health and Safety, ensuring others work to company policies and procedures.
  9. Ensure compliance with the Management Systems requirement for the Environment and Quality by working to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  1. A proven background in buying electrical and mechanical components in the engineering or manufacturing sector.
  2. Professional Certifications / Member of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
  3. Proficiency in IT systems, knowledge of SAP would be an advantage but not essential.
  4. Ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain professionalism, particularly during urgent and critical procurement situations.
  5. Ability to provide quality information within deadlines.
