This is a role where you can make a real difference using data. You will form part of a small team working closely with your colleagues, the team manager and our BI & Performance Business Partners who act as the key point of contact between the service and the Adult’s, Children’s & Housing directorates we serve.

The breadth and depth of activities across the service ensures that no two days are the same - from working with our researchers and data scientists on modelling the cost-of-living crisis, through to understanding the data requirements of external inspections, there is always variety in what we do.

**What you can expect to be doing**:
As a Management Information Officer you will be a key member of the team and will provide support for specified systems/databases, ensuring the availability of accurate management information which supports business planning.

We adopt an agile approach to working, with opportunities to work either in the office or remotely depending on the activity. We encourage collaborative working across the team, where projects can often overlap team areas. As a service we also like to make full use of the technology available to us, including hybrid facilities which allow for with a mix of in-person and remote in the same setting.

This is a core operational role where you will need to work to tight deadlines and provide high-quality intelligence for the People Directorates.

**About you**:
Experience of working with data in a complex organisation and producing performance management information is crucial. This is a technical role and high competency levels of using MS Office software such as Excel is required. Experience of supporting the development of Power BI reports and dashboards would be a real advantage.

You will have a curious mind, driven by the complexities of data and what it can tell you alongside excellent IT and time management skills.

You will be able to work independently and use your initiative to solve problems. You will have a have a keen eye for detail and continuously look for new and efficient ways of working.
