- Experience of targeting grants from various financial sources
- Background of working as part of a team or as an individual and to carry out unsupervised tasks.
- Experience of community or economic development work and processes.

**SKILLS AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE**

- Strong communication skills — oral and written in Welsh and English.
- Project management skills including financial management.
- Arithmetic skills.
- Ability to analyze information and statistics.
- Broad knowledge of the regeneration field including the economic, community and environmental aspects.
- Experience of attracting resources from financial sources

- Information about the area and Gwynedd Council's objectives.
- Understanding of the needs of community groups.
- Information about the guidelines of different financial funds.
- Understanding of Windows computer software packages

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**

**Listening and Speaking - Intermediate Level**
Being able to hold a conversation easily on a number of different topics every day, and discuss cases related to the work area. Being able to follow a discussion in Welsh, in Clear Welsh, on familiar issues related to the job. Being able to contribute to the conversation and answer questions.

**Reading and Comprehension - Intermediate Level**
Understand everyday correspondence on familiar issues at work. Understand longer reports in Clear Welsh and be able to pick up the main points. (You may need help with vocabulary.)

**Writing - Intermediate Level**

**Purpose of the Post.**
- Ensure that the people of Gwynedd are at the heart of everything we do.
- Managing Projects that have been funded through Key Funds
- Implement and coordinate arrangements to ensure that the ‘Galluogi’ grant management arrangements are effective and appropriate

**Responsibility for functions. e.g. staff, budgets, equipment**
- IT Equipment

**Main Duties**
- Prepare reports to be presented during the grants assessment panel
- Monitor expenditure and outputs against the targets of the schemes supported, together with collecting and processing evidence that outputs have been reached, and reporting regularly to the Community Support Manager
- Develop and implement a customer care system
- Responsibility for self-development.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety rules in the workplace in accordance with the responsibilities noted in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Council’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Operate within the Council’s policies in relation to equal opportunities and equality.
- Responsible for managing information in accordance with the Council’s information management guidelines. Ensure that personal information is treated in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
- Commitment to reducing the Council’s carbon emissions in accordance with the Carbon Management Plan, and to encourage others to act positively towards reducing the Council’s Carbon Footprint.
