Admissions Officer

**Job Title**:Admissions Officer

**Role**:To work as part of the Office Team in the development of pupil numbers and the marketing of Kings Monkton School and raise standards.

**Focus**: To recruit numbers of pupils throughout KMS, including International Tier 4 pupils, and develop the public profile of the school.

**Line Manager**:Katrina Pitcher, Office Manager

**Working with**:Principal, Vice Principal, Assistant Principal, Director of Finance and Operations.

**Salary**: SQ1 £22,500

**Contract**: Full time and permanent

**Introduction**

Under the reasonable direction of the Principal carry out the professional duties of a school Admissions Officer.

Maintain the high standards of support for pupil attainment and achievement within the school and monitor and support pupil and support staff progress.

**Specific Duties**

The position of Admissions Officer is an important role in the School as Admissions is the first point of contact to the School, and the individual will be responsible for further developing and delivering the School’s marketing strategy in order to meet the pupil roll targets.

The position of Admissions Officer is full-time.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Coordinate all Admissions to the school (pupils and staff)
- To keep the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and Academic Board informed on Admissions and pupils numbers
- Develop and deliver the School Admissions strategy, meeting school targets and ensuring the sustainability of the school
- Handle all the admission needs of the School
- Promote Tier 4 and International recruitment
- General Office/Reception and secretarial duties

**Admissions**
- Coordinate all pupil Admissions to the school including:

- Initial contact
- Sending out Prospectus, ensuring inserts updated
- Arranging initial visits and tour
- Coordinating Taster Days and Assessment as required
- Liaising with ALNCo re SEN, ALN and feeder schools as required
- Ensuring all Registration, Acceptance Forms and Joining Details are accurately completed and collect monies due in conjunction with the Bursar
- Following up of all Admissions enquiries
- To organise and distributing Surveys for parents and pupils as required
- To send annual prospectus to Estate and Relocation Agents and foster a good relationship with them
- Attend planning meetings as required
- Maintain and develop the school admissions database for pupils, staff and Governors and circulate contact details as required
- Update and distribute Class Lists termly or as required and regularly update pupil numbers, and other statistical data.
- Coordinate minibus runs and keep drivers and parents informed as required for new pupils
- Keep all documentation/records up-to-date and in order
- Annual update of Parents Handbook and other literature
- To carry out duties as the Principal or Academic Board may from time to time determine to fall within the remit of the post, and attend courses as required
- Support marketing and social media updates
- Liaise with feeder schools, toddler groups, nurseries, local estate agents and developers, etc. to maximize pupil recruitment
- Branding and exploring sponsorship opportunities
- Market research as and when required
- Support Advertising/ Press releases/ Social Media:

- Coordinate all Open Days and Pop In Mornings including:

- Project management of various publications as and when required to include:

- Draft and design various booklets and flyers to support the admissions strategy, i.e options booklet, concert pamphlets etc.
- Prospectus

**Other responsibilities**
- Providing general Admissions and Marketing advice to the Principal and SLT
- Liaise with the Principal, SLT, and Academic Boards with regard to scholarship exams
- Work in conjunction with the Alumni officer to build the Alumni database and help coordinate Alumni events, as required
- Work with the KMPA - the School’s Parents’ Association

**General Office Duties**
- Shared responsibilities:

- Work effectively as part of the Administration/ Office team providing support where required
- Answer telephone, take messages and monitor answer phone specific to Admissions
- Receive visitors (Admissions)
- Liaise with staff, pupils and parents
- Keep the reception area tidy with flowers and current school literature
- Assist with school mailings
