Office Administrator

Southern Foam, Rusper (nr Horsham) is recruiting NOW for a full time Office Administrator.
We are a well-established family run business, delivering cut foam to domestic and retail customers across the South East.
We are looking for an experienced Office Administrator who can provide general administrative duties across the team, from customer service and telephone work to clerical jobs. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Making and receiving telephone calls, dealing with customer enquiries and taking accurate messages for the team;
- Taking orders, printing customer address labels and working with the dispatch team to organise and prioritise deliveries;
- Liaising with courier companies to arrange said deliveries and manage a smooth transaction for the customer, dealing with any problems that occur on route;
- Liaising with colleagues in the office and also the factory to monitor the progress of orders;
- Compiling Excel spreadsheets; performing data entry tasks in an accurate and timely manner;
- Working with the Sage database to raise customer invoices and deal with accounts queries;
- Keeping up-to-date with filing and ad-hoc office duties such as sorting of mail, photocopying and monitoring stationery stock levels.
Core hours are 08.00am - 17.00, Monday - Thursday and 08.30 - 15.30, Friday.
Ideally you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ administrative experience;
- Excellent customer service skills especially over the telephone; being friendly and helpful;
- Excellent organisation skills; able to juggle responsibilities; prioritise work and demonstrate a good attention to detail;
- Strong IT skills - competent with MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Initiative and desire to develop the role and take on more responsibility;
- Self-motivation; happy to work alone as well as play an active role in the team.
On the job training will be provided.
Due to location, you will need to have a car and driving licence because the factory is not accessible via public transport. Car parking is available on site.
