Part Time Marketing and Events Co-ordinator

Due to expansion, Innovation Strategy have an opportunity for a person to join the team as a Marketing and Events Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen on supporting research and innovation projects to contribute to creating a stronger, fairer, greener Wales The employee will work alongside an energetic team and will work across collaborative projects with our partners such as the Mid Wales Challenge-Led Launchpad, Innovation Net Zero and ReValue.
The role will involve supporting the planning and execution of workshops, small events and marketing activities, and working with our partners AberInnovation, and other stakeholders on our projects. You will collaborate with colleagues to coordinate the events whilst supporting the wider team with other administration tasks as required. The role will also include managing our online marketing, which will involve creating content for our social media channels and website. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.
The position involves working from home, with occasional travel to workshops (once a month) either in South or Mid Wales. The employee will also have the option to work from one of our locations in Aberystwyth, Swansea, Carmarthen or Cardiff if preferred. We pride ourselves with flexibility and the position can be worked full or part time.
Innovation Strategy implemented a new Welsh Language strategy in early 2023 and the person will further support the delivery of bilingual activities and promote the Welsh Language to benefit the organisations and people we work with.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administration of workshops, including venue booking, attendee registrations, booking equipment, setting up presentations, organisation materials, setting up rooms, managing zoom and supporting translation.
- Supporting small exhibitions with organising marketing material such as posters, flyers, stand art, banners, and join team members to talk about projects.
- Communicate with venues and suppliers to finalise details with attention to detail.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all channels are utilised for publicity and promotion purposes.
- Create and implement event marketing and communication strategies to promote the events and increase attendance.
- Attend workshops recording interesting content to feature on our website and social media channels.
- Create engaging text, video, and image content for our online presence, including social media campaigns and updating our website with events, news and case studies.
- Schedule and manage day-to-day social media content, and ensure workshops and events are promoted.
- Strengthen our brand and projects and online profile and engaging new audiences ensuring Welsh language is supported and prioritised.
- Build on our brand awareness and offer our followers and subscribers a positive experience.
- Translate material and ensure all content and events are supported bilingually to ensure promotion of the Welsh Language.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £14,400.00-£15,600.00 per year
