An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical effectiveness Project Support Officer to join our Clinical Effectiveness team making a difference Health Board Wide. The base will be dependant on the location of the successful applicant.

The successful applicant will report to the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator and work as part of a small team responsible for co-ordinating the clinical effectiveness agenda for the Health Board and supports the clinical effectiveness and service improvement initiatives across the Health Board. The post holder will have minimum levels of daily supervision and will be responsible for providing a high standard of business administration and project support to the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator. Will be responsible for managing the organisation and delivery of a range of specific projects, sourcing information and investigating clinical effectiveness issues and implementation of programmes of work.

The post holder will have specific responsibilities for providing project support during the development of work plans and projects for the Effective Clinical Practice Sub-Committee. This will involve assisting with the development of project plans, scheduling project activity, ensuring reporting criteria is met and key project documentation including minutes for meetings. ensuring risks and issues are appropriately logged and maintained.

Main duties of the role will include the provision of project support to the Medical Directorate on a range of clinical effectiveness projects, and actively assist the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator in the production of relevant project documentation, including project plans and project update reports.

Take lead responsibility for the management, organisation and co-ordination of key clinical effectiveness projects, as appropriate, and in support of the Clinical Effectiveness Coordinator. This includes leading throughout the lifecycle from inception to closure and have responsibility for effective planning, reporting and delivery. Produce project plans, risk logs, issues logs, milestones, needs assessments, training and communication plans. Draft business plans, funding bids and reports to underpin the development of clinical effectiveness projects across the Directorate.

Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. 48 general practices (five of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

Assist the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator in promoting adherence to NICE and other national guidance, including administration of systems and processes for recording, disseminating and implementing NICE and other national guidance.

Provide support to workshops and events and the Clinical Effectiveness Co-ordinator as required in the development and updating of the Effective Clinical Practice Work Programme and related project plans.
