Pecan Deluxe Candy (Europe) Company Ltd is a wholesale confectionery and bakery Company supplying hundreds of food businesses worldwide. We are a small family-owned Company, passionate about providing bespoke tailor-made products and we are proud that our clients include numerous well-known ice cream brands. Our range of products include cookie dough, moulded chocolate, fudge, sauces, caramelised nuts, brownies and sponge cake pieces.

Due to the retirement of a long serving colleague, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our Company, based from our Head Office in Sherburn in Elmet, on the Industrial Estate.

As part of a small finance team, you will have the main responsibility for overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger controls of our business, using Sage 200 and our Spindle purchase invoice recognition system. In addition to processing invoices, you will oversee credit insurance, aged debtor control, credit limits and sales commission to our agents.

This is a standalone role, supported by the Finance & Payroll Manager. As such, you will be an experienced finance professional, ideally with AAT qualifications. Experience of processing payroll would be advantageous, but is not essential.

You will have strong communication skills to be able to confidently handle queries and chase outstanding payments and have a high standard of accuracy in all your duties. Alongside this, you will have excellent IT skills on all Microsoft packages, especially Excel and have experience of using finance/accounting systems in a similar type role, ideally Sage 200.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours, working Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm. This role is office based, however hybrid working (of 1-2 days p/w) is available, once full training and a probation period has been completed. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.
