**Financial Assistant**
**We are looking for a part-time Financial Assistant.**
Twilight Years provide support to people within the Kendal, Lakes and surrounding area as well as Barrow-in-Furness, our staff are dedicated in ensuring our service users can remain independent for as long as possible maximising their choice and control throughout.

**What you need to know**:
All our service users we support are always treated as an individual, they are encouraged to remain independent and have an input in their care plan to include their own choices whilst ensuring their safety is never compromised. The range of support include personal care, medication administration, shopping, and companionship.
We are a long-standing company in the Furness area and we work closely with the Local Authority, the Local NHS ICB and are currently in the process of expanding. We are a forward-looking organization with over 3 decades of experience in the sector. We operate with professionalism and a down-to-earth approach.
**Requirements for the role**:
- Must be caring, empathetic and respectful.
- Should be flexible to the needs of the service.
- Subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
- Must be aged 18 or above.
- Experience with SAGE (or equivalent) would be desirable.
- Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant or equivalent would be desirable but not essential.
- Computer literate - with Microsoft Office skills (especially Outlook, Forms, Excel and Word).
- Ability to adapt to new technology.
- Strong team-working skills.
- Ability to work with initiative and follow/query systems and processes.
- Some understanding of the care sector would be beneficial but in no way required.

You will be a part of a highly trained and dedicated team delivering the support to some of the most vulnerable people within your community of which is a very rewarding position.
**Job Purpose Summary**:
You will be responsible for financial processing, payroll, generation of private invoices, and public sector invoice reconciliation. This will involve engagement with bill payers, service users, accountants and staff members. The duties of this role are pivotal in ensuring staff welfare, organizational stability, and to allow us to deliver a safe, effective and responsive service. You will work from our Barrow-in-Furness Branch alongside our dedicated office team.
This role does not include any delivery of care. Customer-facing duties will be around invoice reconciliation.
