Vulnerability Coordinator-leeds

British Transport Police (BTP) are recruiting for an Vulnerability Coordinator role on a Permanent Contract. The role is paying £32,757.33 per annum and will be based in Leeds - West Gate.
BTP is the national police Force for the rail network throughout Great Britain, including London Underground, across which we ensure the safety and security of nearly 3 billion passenger journeys and over 100 million tons of freight every year. The world in which we work is fast-paced, operationally and commercially demanding, and constantly changing.
As Vulnerability Coordinator you will be required to:
- Review, assess and prioritise incidents and submitted information related to vulnerable persons and suicide prevention and mental health (SPMH) concerns, ensuring initial response was appropriate.
- Ensure that all safeguarding Public Protection incidents are properly identified.
- Refer and liaise with partner agencies regarding adults at risk, child safeguarding, SPMH and domestic abuse, fulfilling BTP responsibility to share public protection information with relevant authorities.

- Experience of working in Public Protection and Safeguarding
- Demonstrable evidence of sound decision making, and judgement based on a variety of sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Data protection principles and legislation
- Freedom of Information principles
- Educated to ‘A’ Level/Higher Grade or equivalent relevant experience.
- Paying up to £32,757.33 per annum.
