**KP Snacks - Ingredients Buyer / Coordinator**

KP Snacks, part of Intersnack Group, is well known for it’s successful brands, Hula Hoops; McCoys; KP Nuts; Tyrrells; Butterkist; Penn State to name only a few. Through aquisition we have grown in the UK, now with 7 production sites (Ashby; Billingham; Rotherham; Pontefract; Stanley; Leominster & Uttoxeter) and our head office in Slough. We now seek an enthusiastic individual to join our Buying Team as UK Buyer / Coordinator.

**The role**

A big part of the role will be supporting the Category Manager team with data management and analysis, ensuring the right buying decisions can be made. The role involves regular cross functional working and requires good written and oral communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

The Buyer reports to the Category Manager in the Ingredients team and is ideally based in either Slough, UK / Ashby, UK / Pontefract, UK

**Your responsibilities**
- Support Group Category Managers on a wide range of ingredients, seasonings and other food items.
- Portfolio of 50+ suppliers
- Provide the KP Snacks / Intersnack team with forecasts, pricing and other data management & analysis
- Support the delivery of the KP snacks objectives in terms of cost, quality, service, and innovation.
- With a positive "can do" mentality support individual projects & activities and implement improvements.
- Support all functional/operational buying to ensure a secure supply chain from the supplier base to the factories, including managing supply chain problems, contract discussions and invoice resolution.
- Work with our Procurement Support team to make sure contracts are set up and managed in the ERP system
- Act as an interface between suppliers and relevant departments on purchasing processes; new projects and activities
- Monitor and advise accordingly on issues with supply which present a risk or opportunity
- Build and maintain trusted internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring a professional and consistent approach is taken

**Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience in procurement
- Negotiation skills and good business acumen
- Attention to detail
- Good Excel knowledge
- Capable team player with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Assertive, persuasive and proactive
- Ability to confidently interact with, lead and influence stakeholders at all levels & cross functionally
- Open for travel up to 10% (mainly UK)

**Desirable**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Multi lingual - (German; French etc)
