**What do I need?**
- A degree in English or Arts, Marketing, Communications, Business or equivalent.
- Knowledge of different marketing disciplines
- Knowledge of up-to-date social media sites and how to implement relevant social media strategies
- Experience of working as an Account Executive/Account Assistant/Intern in a similar role
- Good writing skills
- Skills in diplomacy
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Good networking skills
- Ability to cultivate excellent relationships with journalists and media partners
- Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels within an organisation

Freshwater is a leading integrated communications consultancy specialising in public relations, stakeholder communications, government relations, events and media communications. We work across several sectors, including transport, professional services, retail, public sector, leisure, healthcare, charity, infrastructure and planning.

We are looking for an Intern to work within our healthcare division based in London. The postholder will be responsible for assisting on the day-to-day account execution and administration, escalating any relevant decisions to Account Managers and Directors as appropriate, in the healthcare division. The role will involve carrying out supporting tasks to deliver communication services for clients.

Responsibilities will include assisting with the writing of coherent and factually accurate press releases, copy writing and all client liaison of relevance to the role and as directed by the Account Manager. You will be responsible for managing social media accounts, collating information for reports and identifying publicity opportunities relevant to healthcare clients.
