**About the role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our Contracts Monitoring Team. As the Contracts Monitoring Lead, you will play a vital role in effectively monitoring, managing, and enforcing contracts for waste, street cleansing, and grounds maintenance in the Cotswold, Forest of Dean, and West Oxfordshire Districts who are among the top performing English local authorities in terms of their recycling rates. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the Contracts Monitoring Officer team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to team members.
- Ensure contract compliance and monitor performance, health and safety standards, and data review.
- Chair meetings with contractors and site partners to discuss contract progress, resolve issues, and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor spend and budgets to ensure value for money and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement processes and service improvements to enhance contract management and service delivery.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including contractors, site partners, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements in contract management.

**You will need**:

- A level NVQ3, or BTEC Relevant professional qualification (Office/ Admin e.g. CLAIT) (relevant experience can be considered as an alternative)
- Experience in contract management and budget monitoring
- Experience in project delivery
- Experience in Contract performance management
- Understanding of Waste Service in a local authority context
