Emissions Monitoring Trainee

**Trainee Air and Emissions Technician, SOCOTEC, £**highly competitive + valuable benefits**, Cirencester**

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division. SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations and to comply with environmental regulations. Our expert field teams provide national coverage and tailored services including site investigation, sampling and analysis, monitoring, interpretation and consultancy. Our qualified and highly talented field consultants provide environmental analysis, environmental monitoring and consultancy services to assist clients in complying with legislation.

We’re looking for a professional, dynamic individual wanting structured career progression, training and development. This includes progressing through the industry competency scheme (MCERTS). Part of our Built Environment Services team, your challenge will be to undertake monitoring of stack emissions from industrial processes, primarily to determine compliance with Environmental Permit requirements and obligations at client premises. This will include:

- Monitoring emissions to documented procedures, published standards and protocols and industry best practice
- Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for the client
- Working to SOCOTEC’s Health & Safety Policies and customers’ site rules and procedures contained in the SOCOTEC Quality Manual
- Undertaking any equipment maintenance, calibration, or kit preparation tasks, as required plus laboratory duties and report writing
