We're looking for a professional, dynamic individual wanting structured career progression, training and development. This includes progressing through the industry competency scheme (MCERTS).

Part of our Built Environment Services team, your challenge will be to undertake monitoring of stack emissions from industrial processes, primarily to determine compliance with Environmental Permit requirements and obligations at client premises.

This will include:

• Monitoring emissions to documented procedures, published standards and protocols and industry best practice
• Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for the client
• Working to SOCOTEC's Health & Safety Policies and customers' site rules and procedures contained in the SOCOTEC Quality Manual
• Undertaking any equipment maintenance, calibration, or kit preparation tasks, as required plus laboratory duties and report writing

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• An interest to develop a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analysing techniques
• A desire to work outdoors and at heights on occasions at a variety of industrial locations, which can be physically and mentally challenging
• Availability to work away from home during the working week for some days during each month
• A full driving licence, and a flexible and positive attitude
